The fundamental objective of the Doctorate in Chemistry program is to train scientists of the highest level, with solid knowledge in their discipline, trained to work and form multidisciplinary teams, with a

Applicant Profile

The applicant must have an Academic Degree of Bachelor of Chemistry or its equivalent. If it was obtained abroad, it must be legalized at the Chilean Consulate of the country of origin for subsequent legalization and translation - where appropriate - at the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Relations. It can also be a degree certificate if the applicant holds a master's degree in chemistry or an equivalent area.

The Doctor in Chemistry from the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile is a person who:

Has a broad conceptual domain of the discipline, knowledge of the techniques and chemical methodologies used in research. These characteristics allow it to develop both in the field of basic and applied research in a creative and innovative way, thus contributing to the development of science and
technology of the country.
He has a scientific training of the highest level, with solid ethical values, with vocations for service, the ability to work as a team and a constant motivation for improvement.
He has practical and intellectual skills that motivate him to seek interdisciplinary with other branches of science, aware of the empowerment achieved in favor of an agreed objective.
He has transversal skills that enable him to work in a group and / or lead work groups in order to address problems of the discipline or related areas from the theoretical-computational point of view to the proposition of purely practical resolutions.
