goals

a) contribute to the formation of advanced human capital, which generates knowledge in various areas of Neuroscience, through critical analysis and resolution of neuroscientific problems
b) To train graduates capable of promoting the development of original projects and lines of research in Neuroscience, which contribute to the scientific development of the country.
c) consolidate a pole of academic development that promotes multidisciplinary research in Neurokinecy, and the formation of collaboration networks between research groups.
d) contribute to the positioning of the University of Santiago de Chile as a national and international reference for scientific research.

Applicant Profile

a) Possess at least a Bachelor's degree in the areas of Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine or related careers. In the case of candidates from careers such as Psychology, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and the like, their curricular background will be analyzed by the Program Committee (CPD), who will evaluate the relevance of the applicant's academic training.
b) Accredit the reading comprehension in English of scientific texts of the area in the admission exam

Graduate profile

a) Solve Neuroscience problems using a multidisciplinary approach, which includes experimental and theoretical methodologies from Molecular and Cellular Biology, Physiology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Informatics, among others.
b) Explain the laws underlying the neurobiological phenomena studied.
c) Propose, execute and evaluate original research projects in Neuroscience.
d) Work as a team and lead work groups to generate and develop multi and interdisciplinary research projects in NEuroscience.
e) To transmit orally and in writing the knowledge generated in a truthful and objective way, through the national and international scientific media.
f) develop neuroscience research respecting the individuals subject to experimentation, whether human beings or animals, in accordance with the ethical standards established in the place where they carry out their research.
g) To value the methodicality, rigor and responsibility of scientific research, becoming aware of a job well done as a standard of conduct to be satisfied.
