The objective of the Doctoral Program in Mechanical Engineering is the formation of advanced human capital of excellence with a strong scientific-technological base, capable of addressing complex research problems and applied engineering problems and solving them independently and original, thus contributing to expand the frontiers of knowledge in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
The general admission requirement is to be in possession of the academic degree of Bachelor of Science and / or Engineering Sciences.
Graduates will have a command of computational methods and modeling in solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mechanical behavior of materials.
They will be trained to carry out quality research and teaching activities, specializing in one of these four areas of the program.
They will be trained to address complex and interdisciplinary problems in the field of Mechanical Engineering in academia, industry and in Engineering companies.
Lines of investigation
1.- Fluid Mechanics, Energy and Heat Transfer
2.- Solid Mechanics
3.- Reliability, Maintenance and Management of Physical Assets
4.- Mechanical Behavior of Materials, Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics
