The Program is intended mainly for Graduates and Professionals who have graduated from the careers: Civil Engineering, Wood Sciences and Industries, Civil Chemical, Civil Mechanic and professionals from related disciplines with demonstrable experience in the area.

Graduate profile

The graduate of the Doctoral program produces frontier scientific-technological knowledge in Sustainable Materials and Process Engineering, contributing to the development of the area through autonomous research in the field of new materials and the sustainable transformation of natural resources. Likewise, this graduate is distinguished by his willingness to work in multidisciplinary teams, his responsibility and commitment to the social-environmental environment and the reduction of the carbon footprint, contributing to the discussion of the scientific society from the communication of results at the national level and international.

Lines of investigation

Line 1: Sustainable Materials
Area dedicated to the development of new materials with high added value that respond to the changing needs of society. Among the materials are biomass, wood, biopolymers and other materials made from natural resources of lignocellulosic origin.
Line 2: Sustainable Processes
Area in charge of the sustainable transformation of natural resources throughout the value chain, from the design of the process and products, their processing conditions and focused on the achievement of processes and industrial manufacturing at a chemical, biochemical and mechanical level of the matter with a minimum environmental impact and maximum possible economic-social benefit.
