The objective of the Doctoral Program in Food Engineering is to train researchers of the highest level, capable of carrying out original and independent research, aimed at promoting innovation in production processes and contributing to improving the competitiveness of the food sector in the country and in Latin America.

Applicant Profile

Be in possession of the Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree in Food Science and Engineering or other Academic Degree or University Professional Degree in a discipline related to the area of Food Engineering, accredit basic training in Engineering Sciences. In addition, they have the ability to understand the English language in written form, which allows them to read articles, books and access scientific databases.

Graduate profile

The doctorate in Food Engineering will be a professional trained to independently carry out research that produces frontier knowledge in Food Engineering Sciences, with national and international recognition. They will be able to communicate and defend conceptually and methodologically the results of their research in oral and written form. At the same time, it will be in a position to conceive, develop and evaluate solutions and innovations in processes and technologies required by the food production sector. Likewise, it will be characterized by having skills to formulate research and development projects and to train highly specialized human resources.
