The main objective of the Doctoral Program in Sciences with a major in Research and Development of Bioactive Products is to train competent researchers to obtain and modify bioactive products from natural or synthetic sources.
Applicant Profile
The Program is aimed at graduates in the area of natural sciences; Graduates, Master's or Professional Degree with studies equivalent to that of Bachelor's degree granted by Chilean or foreign universities.
Graduate profile
The objective of this Program is to train researchers with the following skills:
-Plan and carry out research autonomously in the field of bioactive products, with an emphasis on:
-Perform research in chemistry of active compounds, associated with the agroforestry, food, health and environmental sectors. Identify and modify active products to create analogues of greater efficacy, stability and / or biodegradability. Design new molecules combining organic synthesis, theoretical and experimental calculations.
-Lead or integrate multidisciplinary work groups or teams Interact in national and international research and / or development networks. Communicate results effectively, including international mainstream journals.
-Manage resources for research and / or development.
