goals

General objective:
- To train researchers in fields of development typical of the sciences of chemical engineering, open to complementing their professional strengths with competencies that allow them to apply the scientific method to face complex problems and propose solutions based on original knowledge. Graduates will be able to develop research independently, integrate teams, communicate scientific information in different contexts, and propose scientific-technological solutions to discipline problems.

Specific objectives:
- To train advanced human capital in Chemical Engineering for the development of the country, which proposes scientific-technological solutions to problems of the discipline, promoting their integration and multidisciplinary interaction.
- Contribute to the generation of a solid and advanced scientific base in the fundamentals that sustain Chemical Engineering.
- To promote in graduates the constant updating and advancement of Chemical Engineering Sciences, scientific communication and technology transfer in national and international contexts.
- Contribute to the interaction between researchers from academia, the industrial sector and technological research institutes to solve complex problems in chemical engineering sciences, through the use of scientific knowledge

Applicant Profile

The applicant must show antecedents that support their marked interest in scientific research, as well as their vocation to incorporate, generate and transmit knowledge.

Graduate profile

- Show conceptual, theoretical and methodological management in Chemical Engineering.
- Characterize and critically analyze phenomena and processes of Chemical Engineering and its related fields.
- Design and formulate scientific / technological research projects in Chemical Engineering and its related fields.
- Evaluate and propose solutions to problems associated with the specialty, individually or by integrating research teams.
- Develop research to generate validated scientific knowledge and communicate it in academic and technological contexts.
Competences 1, 2, 4 and 5 are addressed homogeneously by all the basic and specialization subjects of the program. Competition 3 is addressed during the development of the Doctoral Thesis, in addition to some subjects.
