This, after the application of the evaluations in 147 application locations was suspended on January 6 and 7, due to incidents in those areas, a measure that was addressed by the plenary session of the Council of Rectors in its extraordinary session No. 2, held at the Hotel Diego de Almagro in Santiago.
Regarding this situation, the university authority stated that in a democratic society “people have the right to be conscientious objectors regarding a public action; but they do not have the right to forcefully, through coercive acts, impose a will on others, no matter how noble or valuable that motivation may be ”.
The executive vice president of CRUCH announced that the plenary session of rectors will meet after the second application of the PSU, on Wednesday, January 29, to evaluate the process. "We want to act on the antecedents and facts verified on January 27 and 28 and obviously it is not lost on us that the next day we have to evaluate what the result was," he said.
For the surrender of 27 and 28, as reported by the Department of Evaluation, Measurement and Educational Registry (DEMRE) of the U. de Chile, 111,080 applicants are qualified to take the PSU of Mathematics on January 27, from 09.00 hours; While that day, from 2.30 pm, 69,978 students will take the Language and Communication PSU. The following day, 46,493 people will be qualified for the PSU of Sciences, from 09.00 hours.
