The regular registration period for the PSU will run until Friday, August 18 at 1:00 p.m., as defined by the Single Admission System (SUA) of the Council of Rectors and the Department of Evaluation, Measurement and Registration Educational of the University of Chile (DEMRE). This registration period began on June 5 and its term was this Friday, August 4.
"We made this decision to favor those students who wish to take the PSU and still do not have the necessary background to enroll, in particular their High School grades," said María Elena González, director of the Single Admission System of the Council of Rectors.
It should be remembered that since 2015 the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) is the official body in charge of informing the High School grades for the admission process. “For this reason it is recommended that students carefully review their grades, those that appear on the registration platform of the DEMRE website and, in the event that they detect an error or lack of information, contact the Mineduc Help service ( https://www.ayudamineduc.cl/ or by phone: 600 600 26 26) ”, said the Director of SUA.

As of today, that is, 59 days after the start of registration, 205,330 registrants are registered, of which 171,387 correspond to the promotion of the year and 33,943 to previous promotions. In the same period, last year there were 240,982 registered.
“According to the information provided by DEMRE, this difference may be due to different factors, among which is the registration requirement that consists of accrediting high school education, which must be done through an application to the MINEDUC. With regard to this procedure, it may happen that people do not perform it on time or that the information is more difficult to access. In any case, to carry out an evaluation with respect to the total number of registrants, it is necessary to wait until the end of the registration stage ”, explained María Elena González.
Other dates of Admission 2018
The PSU will take place on Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 November and the recognition of rooms will take place on Sunday 26. As usual, the first day of presentation will be the Language and Communication (9:00 am) and the Science test ( 2:30 p.m.) and, the next day, the Mathematics test (9:00 a.m.) and the History, Geography and Social Sciences test (2:30 p.m.).
On Tuesday, December 26, the scores will be published and that same day the application stage will begin, which will end on Saturday, December 30 at 1:00 p.m. As in previous years, students will have approximately five days to apply.
The results of the university selection will be announced on Tuesday, January 16 at 11:00 p.m. and the enrollment period will begin the next day, between Wednesday, January 17 and Friday, January 26, 2018.
