15 CRUCH universities participated in the VI Mesoamerican Fair in Panama.

The Mesoamerican Fair of Mexican Quality Postgraduates was held on October 29 and 30 in Panama City. This activity was organized by the Technological University of Panama (UTP), the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico (CONACYT) and the Inter-American University Organization (OIU). The CRUCH Postgraduate Advisory Committee received the invitation to participate in the Fair, which adopted an international character by adding to the Mexican offer, the offer of postgraduate courses from countries such as Chile, Brazil and Canada.

The Fair contemplated the individual diffusion of the offer through stands, thematic conferences, thematic workshops and 'networking'.

The CRUCH Postgraduate Advisory Committee set the following objectives for the universities that offer doctoral programs:

1. Present the offer of doctorate and master's programs currently taught and collect the interests of the universities of the respective countries.

2. Strengthen the links of academic collaboration with the universities of Panama

3. Establish ties and future agreements that facilitate the exchange of academics and doctoral students.

The program also included a meeting with the Chilean Ambassador to Panama, Mr. Francisco Cruz. Ximena García, president of the CRUCH Postgraduate Advisory Committee, explained that the presence in Panama was due to a program to support the Internationalization of Postgraduate programs and specifically the Doctorates, which seeks to encourage more Latin American students to carry out their Doctorates in Universities of the CRUCH. In addition, the mission also raised the possibility of collaboration with other universities present at the Fair, at the level of internships, thesis co-tutors, double degree, joint degree, academic and student exchange, and research, among others.

On the part of the ambassador, it was reported that next year the Summit of the Americas will be held in Panama and an academic summit will be held in the week of April 5, 2015, where there will be an important academic space of visibility and showcase.
