The Postgraduate Advisory Commission meets with representatives of the British Embassy and commissioners of CNA Chile.

The Postgraduate Advisory Commission of the Council of Rectors met on Tuesday, September 23 - at first - with representatives of the Embassy of the United Kingdom with the purpose of sharing opportunities to participate in the Newton Picarte Fund, through the axis "development of capacities ”. The aim would be to link doctoral programs of excellence of CRUCH universities with those of British universities, known as doctoral training centers. The Newton Picarte Fund allows building long-term academic relationships, through a system of co-financing and joint application to highly competitive projects. For the CRUCH universities, these projects will be an important means of internationalization and innovation.

In the second part of the meeting, a fruitful exchange of orientations and practices was developed with commissioners of CNA CHILE, addressing the criteria and processes of postgraduate accreditation. The information received allowed us to understand the current priorities and challenges; at the same time present the situations that the programs have faced in the accreditation processes. It is expected in the future to maintain this type of exchange, in order to improve and streamline the postgraduate quality assurance system.
