Weightings: Universities consolidate Ranking of Notes in Admission Process 2015

Approximately the 90% of the races maintains weighting last year's Ranking. For the last week of June, the publication of the PSU® battery facsimiles that incorporate the changes made due to the Curriculum Adjustment is expected.

The Executive Vice President of the Council of Rectors, Juan Manuel Zolezzi, together with the director (s) of the Single Admission System, Angélica Bosch and the Director (s) of Demre, Sergio Carumán, announced details of the innovations that the Test will have University Selection, as well as the weightings that each university assigned to their careers.

 
Regarding innovations, they pointed out that this year the discount for wrong questions is eliminated and piloting questions are incorporated into the Mathematics test. In addition, in the week of June 23, the facsimiles of each test will be published, according to the new syllabi appropriate to the Curriculum Adjustment, released in May.

 

Weightings

Regarding the weightings, it should be noted that of the 1,385 races that were dictated last year and will also be taught in 2015, 88.7% maintains the same weightings (PSU ® Battery - NEM-Ranking). The 89.3% maintains the same weighting of the Ranking of Notes. Of those that change, 132 increase their Ranking weighting and 15 decrease it.

On average, the universities that increase the weighting the most in Ranking are the University of Valparaíso (11.1%), the Metropolitan Technological University (10.7%) and the Universidad Católica del Norte (5%). Meanwhile, the University of Magallanes decreases the weighting of the Ranking by an average 4.2%.

Thus, a total of 302 races set their Ranking weight at 40%, 81 races at 30%, 136 races at 25%, 473 races at 20%, 108 races at 15% and 291 races at 10%. In total, this year the system will offer 1,391 races.

 

Calendar

Regarding the calendar, it should be remembered that the PSU ® surrender will be on December 1 and 2, while the results will be delivered on Sunday, December 21 at 8:00 in the morning. At 9:00 in the morning of that same day, the application stage begins, which will run until Wednesday, December 24 at 1:00 p.m. The results of the applications will be announced on Sunday, January 4 at 11:00 p.m. and the enrollment period will run between Monday, January 5 and Wednesday, January 7, 2015.
