Rector Zolezzi: "We will collaborate with the Mineduc, but we reserve the right to disagree with the project"

At the session, held in Antofagasta, the Council ratified its position on the bill, stating that the prohibition of profit for universities should be explicit in it.

The Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities had its monthly plenary session, organized by the University of Antofagasta.
The vice president of the Council of Rectors, Juan Manuel Zolezzi pointed out that part of the discussion was centered on the indications that the Executive undertook to prepare to change the Superintendency bill.
"We have met with the minister, but we are concerned about this issue," said the rector, arguing that so far, the only thing that is known is the previous project, prepared under the leadership of Minister Felipe Bulnes. “We do not know the future project and we are concerned about being involved in a situation that we do not want. We will collaborate in everything necessary with the ministry, but we reserve the right to disagree or agree with the result, "he said.
In another area, it should be noted that this Cruch session began with a minute of silence in memory of Fernando Castillo Velasco, former rector of the Catholic University who died last week.
