Council of Rectors strengthens ties with US Universities

María Teresa Marshall -Executive Director of the Council of Rectors- visited important universities in California (USA), within the framework of the Chile California Program and the strengthening of bilateral relations for the development of strategic alliances at the postgraduate level.

In the framework of the Chile California Program, M. Teresa Marshall, visited the University of Berkeley in order to analyze opportunities for doctoral internships and postdoctoral scholarships for postgraduate students of the Universities of the Council of Rectors, meeting with prof. Sam Castañeda, who showed a special interest in visiting our universities and publicizing the opportunities in the California public university system.

He held a meeting with the University of San Francisco, since they seek to establish a mobility program for nurses there.

Finally, he held a full agenda at the University of Davis, California, organized by the Chile - Davis University Program, directed by Professor Jorge Rojas and Professor Lovell Jarvis. The agenda included meetings with the director of the admission system, the international relations team, the dean of the Graduate School, the dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and made a brief presentation on the situation of higher education in this period in Chile. As a result of this visit, it is expected to deepen the academic collaboration links between our universities.
