• The University Selection Test will be given on December 12 and 13. The date was changed, among other reasons, to ensure that all the centers for taking this exam were available.
• An extraordinary enrollment period was also announced from October 11 to 21.
In an extraordinary plenary session of the Council of Rectors, held today at the headquarters of the Catholic University, the highest university authorities defined to postpone the date of delivery of the University Selection Test (PSU®) to December 11, 12 and 13, 2011 .
As explained by the rector Víctor Pérez, executive vice president of the Council of Rectors, this change was defined based on the following elements: the number of registered students, and the enabled surrender centers.
Regarding the first point, the rector specified that according to Demre's background, and compared to the previous year, 90% of the students have registered to date; This figure would increase with the extraordinary registration period that will run from the 11th to the 21st of this month. "As every year, the Demre opened a new period to take the PSU®, so we call on young people who want to take this test and have not signed up to do so during this new period," said Rector Pérez .
Likewise, the vice president of CRUCH recalled that the date was postponed to ensure that all the necessary centers are available so that the conditions of surrender are optimal for the young people who face this important instance. "According to Demre's figures, approximately a third of the test taking places were not available for November 27, 28 and 29, but these centers would be available for the new date set."
According to the new calendar, on Sunday, December 11, the recognition of rooms will take place. Meanwhile, on Monday, December 12 at 9:00 a.m., young people must take the Language and Communication test, and at 2:30 p.m. it is the turn of the Science test. On Tuesday the 13th the Mathematics test will be given at 9 am and the History and Social Sciences test at 2.30 pm.
