Ancha Beach University has already established joint actions with the Finnish University of Jyväskylä.
Representatives of the universities of the Council of Rectors traveled to Finland last April to learn about its higher education system and establish cooperative ties with its universities.
As a result of the meeting, the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (Cruch) and the Council of Rectors of Finnish Universities (UNIFI) signed a Memorandum of Agreement that will lay the foundations for collaboration and cooperation in joint postgraduate programs, and the exchange of information and experiences in research, innovation and technology transfer, among others. It is worth mentioning that Finland stands out for the excellent quality of its universities and for the good results they have obtained in educational measures of international level such as the PISA test.
The meeting and exchange of information with the rectors of different Finnish universities and the possibility of visiting the university campuses on site was an excellent opportunity for the Chilean delegation to learn about the reform of the higher education system, teacher training strategies and scientific development in the mining and forestry field.
As a result of this trip to Finland, the University of Ancha Beach has already carried out actions, and today it has a formal agreement with the University of Jyväskylä to generate a common research work. With the support of researchers from that country, they are creating a Center for Advanced Studies focused mainly on education and development, specifically on aspects related to educational leadership, inclusiveness and the relationship between education and work.
